The German-born soprano Micaela di Catalano received her vocal training by the

       Belcanto-Tenor Mario Gallo.

       Besides she visited Masterclasses from well known Operasingers like Eva Randová,

       Madame Montserrat Caballé, Professor Cheryl Studer, Giacomo Aragall, 

       Gegam Grigorian, and got instructions during consultations with Plácido Domingo. 

       He and Madame Montserrat Caballé encouraged her, to concentrate on the 

       Wagnerian Repertoire.


       The Support of the "Mark Lothar Foundation", who is administrated by the 

       City Gouverment of Munich/Germany, led her in 2013 to the acceptance into

       the Mariinsky Theatre Accademy of Young Opera Singers (St. Petersburg).              


       After 4 month at the Accademy she auditioned for the directorship and

       immediately becoming an aspirant as a soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre

       for leading soprano Wagner roles.

       The directorship invited her to study the three Brunhildas, main roles in the

       Ring Cycle, at the Mariinsky.                                                        


       Richard Trimborn who is known internationally as a leading Trainer

       in the Wagnerian and Strauss Repertoire, was preparing her during her stays

       in Germany, on a regular basis for her Repertoire, which is made up essentially

       of the Composers Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss

       and Giuseppe Verdi.  


       She already was covering the three Brunhildas and the part of Sieglinde.

       Finally she was in the cast as Elisabeth in Wagner Opera Tannhäuser at the

       Mariinsky Theater.


       Opera-Debut in St. Petersburg 2017 in front of more than 5.000 spectators with

       Carl-Maria von Weber´s  Opera "Der Freischütz" in the role of Agathe during

       the Festival "All Together Opera"


       She was scholarship recipient of

       Concert-Engagements led her to Portugal, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Poland, 

       France, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and 

       the United Staates of America.


       An important cultural event became her recital dedicated to the Wagner Divas

       Birgit Nilsson and Astrid Varnay in the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth

       in Autumn 2018.

       The music publisher "Planet of Music" Russia, engaged her repeatedly as

       a member of the Jury in the Int. Voice Competition "Star Rhapsody"

       and also to teach in the well known Jelena Obraszowa Center in St. Petersburg.
